Site News: New Website, Fantasy Basel, Cosplay and The Raid

Today, we announce big news around the Uncanny Book-Club. Check out our latest accomplishments and our upcoming projects.

Welcome to the new Uncanny.ch! You might have noticed that this site looks completely different from what it did last week. And it is. Because we made it look nicer for you. The main feature of the new look other than being much lighter is mobile compatibility, so you can read our articles on your phones without much of a hassle. There’s a reason for this:

Fantasy Basel

Fantasy Basel

Fantasy Basel

Switzerland has its own Comic Books, Fantasy, Cosplay Convention. It’s called Fantasy Basel and it will be held between May 14th and May 16th. Among the people involved: The Uncanny Book-Club. We’ll be there in official capacity, so you should totally come, too. We’ll keep you updated on what exactly we’ll be doing other than coming in costume.

From what I hear, some of the Uncannies will show up in Cosplay. So get your creativity on and build your own costume!

More information about Fantasy Basel!

This is also why we rebuilt our website. Because from Fantasy Basel, people will access the site from mobile devices. So we accounted for that. The little bonus: You can do that too.

The Raid #10

uncanny_raid_thumbnailIt’s been ten months already since we’ve had the first Raid at Kabooom. On Wednesday, April 15th, we’ll have the tenth Raid where we’ll share our thoughts about comics, eat snacks and chat about this and that. This is also a great opportunity to get the latest advice on costume building or anything else.

While you don’t have to sign up for The Raid, we’re happy if you do so over at our Facebook Event Page.

Other Things in the Near Future

There’s more stuff in stock for you, of course, but we can’t tell you much about it. Here are some teasers:

  • The Avengers: Age of Ultron
  • Mad Max: Fury Road
  • Summer is Coming
Mad Max: Fury Road
