Guardians of the Galaxy – Uncanny Movie Night! Join Now!

«Something good, something bad… a bit of both.» It is time, everyone! The Guardians of the Galaxy hit the big screen on August 28th. We’ve managed to negotiate a deal where we get the best seats in the house on the 30th of August, so sign up now!

The Guardians of the Galaxy are Marvel Comics’ most unlikely group of heroes. Mainly because they’re not heroes at all. They’re a tree, a raccoon, a killer, another killer and a human being. And those are the people who need to go save the galaxy, because they just so happen to be some «of the idiots who live in it.»

The movie stars Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Glenn Close, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker and many more. It’s been lauded as the best Marvel movie to date, which – when looking at their recent track record with Captain America: The Winter Soldier sounds very promising.

Because we’re awesome, the Uncanny Book-Club has managed to strike a deal with the friendly people at Kitag. We have reserved 50 best tickets in the house on a Saturday night, even before the tickets go on sale. Which cinema will the screening be held at? The Metropol. The Cost: 15 CHF per person. Please bring exact change, so that this can be done more easily.

How can you join?

  • Head over to the event’s Facebook page.
  • Click on the button that says that you’ll come.
  • Want to bring a friend or seven? Cool! No problem! Just leave a comment and tell us how many people you’ll bring. If we’re exceeding the 50, it’ll be difficult, but not impossible.
  • If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in a comment or on our Facebook page.

Please be advised that signing up is absolutely required.

So make sure that you’ve got Saturday, the 30th of August, free so that we can go watch a movie together. Feel free to join us for a drink after the movie ends.

To finish this announcement off, here’s a trailer. Enjoy!
