Night Film at the Voltaire

A death, a series of movies, a director nobody’s ever seen or talked to directly. And the journalist who had his career shattered by this enigmatic man. Join the Uncanny Book-Club on December 1st when the Uncannies discuss Marisha Pessl’s Night Film!

Join the Uncanny Book-Club on a journey into mystery. We are tracking down the mystery that is reclusive director Stanislas Cordova, writer and director of the most disturbing movies ever. And Cordova is the father of a daughter who just happened to kill herself… or did she?

Come Sunday, December 1st, we’ll all be sitting down in the place where Hugo Ball, Emmy Hennings, Tristan Tzara, Richard Huelsenbeck, Marcel Janco and Hans Arp founded the short-lived and fairly obscure artform known as Dada. They denied all previous art and elevated nonsense to an art-form. This is where we’ll meet. This is where we’ll sit and enjoy drinks and talk and have a great time.

This Uncanny Book-Club Event will be hosted by Schira and Stefan and we’ll start at 5pm.

Feel free to bring your friends, even if they haven’t read the book, because it will be fun either way.

Please RSVP on our Facebook-Page if you can.
