Book Club – We Have Always Lived… at the Voltaire

The next Book-Club meeting happens on the 22ns of September. That’s the coming Sunday. We will sit down and talk about Shirley Jackson’s We Have Always Lived in the Castle. The only question left open was the location. And we have something special cooked up for you. We’ll meet in a place where an artform was born: The Cabaret Voltaire!

Come Sunday, we’ll all be sitting down in the place where Hugo Ball, Emmy Hennings, Tristan Tzara, Richard Huelsenbeck, Marcel Janco and Hans Arp founded the short-lived and fairly obscure artform known as Dada. They denied all previous art and elevated nonsense to an art-form. This is where we’ll meet. This is where we’ll sit and enjoy drinks and talk and have a great time.

This Uncanny Book-Club Event will be hosted by Schira and Stefan and we’ll start at 4.30pm.

Feel free to bring your friends, even if they haven’t read the book, because it will be fun either way.

The Address: Spiegelgasse 1, 8001 Zürich
